Earlier this week, I was honored to accept an invitation to join President Trump in the Oval Office to shine a spotlight on expanding access to fertility benefits and improving maternal health for American families. When we started the company nearly a decade ago, fertility care was considered a niche healthcare issue and maternal mortality was rarely discussed. On Monday, I watched the President of the United States discuss why prioritizing these issues is vital to America’s long-term economic and national security. We have made enormous progress. But, we are not finished.

What struck me most was how the conversation has finally evolved to include the full continuum of care – from preconception through IVF, pregnancy and into early parenthood. Expanding access to more affordable IVF is critical, as are interventions that address the underlying causes of infertility, including metabolic dysfunction. Ensuring moms get the support they need during and after pregnancy is equally vital. Olivia Walton spoke about her ambitious new bipartisan initiative, Healthy Moms Healthy Babies America, to activate state-led policies that expand access to midwives, doulas, virtual care and more – especially in rural counties. And hopeful mom-to-be, Monique Pruitt, shared her personal story about how TrumpRx has helped her more affordably access the fertility drugs needed for each of her many cycles.

I’m grateful to President Trump and administration leaders for their continued commitment to these important healthcare issues. We will continue to partner with policymakers, employers, health plans and other key stakeholders to help more American families affordably get the care they need, when they need it, wherever they live.
